My younger brother slept with a big soft Ernie doll for years--the kind with buttons and zippers and velcro and shoelaces. He loved it. =)Erica Ridleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05511276393455961757noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5071723843413520510.post-71876799762157882742007-11-22T22:20:00.000-05:002007-11-22T22:20:00.000-05:00Phyllis, I'm seriously considering a really soft a...Phyllis, I'm seriously considering a really soft action figure for the little bear.

At least your rollerskating doll skated better than I ever could. If they could make a more realistic doll (i.e., more like me), the skating doll would always be falling on her tush.Karen Lingefelthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12711995788044655253noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5071723843413520510.post-80342816725180647612007-11-21T00:20:00.000-05:002007-11-21T00:20:00.000-05:00What a lovely day -- sounds like one of those mome...What a lovely day -- sounds like one of those moments you just hold onto.

IMO, buy him a baby doll. (Tell Mr. Lucky to just think of it as a really soft action figure).

I remember when I was 4 and I got my much coveted Chatty Kathy doll. I was so disapointed when I asked her if she wanted some milk, pulled the string, and she replied "Baby fall down." It had never occured to me that her answers wouldn't be responsive to my questions -- afterall, the dolls on the commercials always gave the right answer. I did enjoy the rollerskating doll more, except there was something wrong with her left foot and she was only able to skate in an endless and really small circle. Overall, like you, I ended up prefering the dolls whose actions were limited only by the bounds of my own imagination.

Happy Thanksgiving!Phyllis J.
